What is the difference between a Pohjola Insurance prime customer and OP cooperative bank owner-customer?
To become a Pohjola Insurance prime customer, you need to have insurance policies from three different categories. You are entitled to prime customer discounts even if you are not an OP banking customer.
As an OP cooperative bank owner-customer, you own a part of your local bank. In addition to owner-customer discounts and OP bonus, you can also enjoy the benefits offered by our partners.
You get the best benefits when you are both an insurance prime customer and an OP cooperative bank owner-customer.
You can check yourself whether you are a prime customer and an owner-customer. On OP-mobile, go to the Insurance section, and at op.fi, visit the My policies page after logging in. On the page you’ll also see the amount of OP bonus used against your insurance premiums and the discounts in euro you receive on your policies.
The prime customer status includes a total of five insurance categories

Keep your insurance cover up to date
Your insurance cover should be reviewed and updated periodically. You should review your insurance cover at least when your life situation changes – whether it is due to the birth of a child, a divorce or a house renovation, for example.
By logging in to OP-mobile or the op.fi service, you can, for example, view your current cover, edit your information, update your insurance policies or file a loss report. You can log in to both OP-mobile and the op.fi service with the user IDs of any bank.

How to pool your household’s insurance policies
By pooling your household members’ policies, you’ll receive prime customer benefits for everyone in your household. You can change your financial details by contacting our Customer Service by phone, on op.fi or in OP-mobile. As an OP cooperative bank customer, you can also visit an OP cooperative bank branch. Messaging us on OP's digital services is easy:
1. Log in to the op.fi service or through OP-Mobile.
2. Contact our Customer Service at Messages, select Insurance and Claims as the topic and tell us that you want to pool your household’s insurance policies.
3. Our Customer Service will ask you to provide the necessary information about the members of your household to pool your household’s insurance policies.
In case of loss or damage, Pohjola Claim Help is at your service
As an OP cooperative bank owner-customer or a Pohjola Insurance prime customer, you will receive a 50 % increase in the amount of compensation paid under life insurance or a 25 % discount on the price of life insurance, depending on which product you have. The additional benefit applies to new life insurance contracts. The additional benefit is valid for a year. The benefit is confirmed annually, and its distribution aims for continuity. The size of the benefit may vary, or the benefit may be discontinued

As an OP cooperative bank owner-customer, you get a deductible benefit of up to 250 euros on MyHome Insurance.
Your deductible is waived or reduced when your property suffers damage covered under MyHome Insurance due to fire, natural phenomena or theft and the compensation paid exceeds the deductible you have selected.
For example, if a bicycle worth 600 euros is stolen and your deductible is 250 euros, you pay no deductible thanks to the deductible benefit. In the same situation, if your deductible is 500 euros, you pay just 250 euros (500 – 250) thanks to the deductible benefit.
