Event ticket insurance covers theatre, concert, or event tickets bought with OP Gold credit up to 3,000 euros if you are unable to attend due to falling ill or another serious reason.

F-Secure’s Data and Identity Theft Protection secures your whole family’s devices against viruses, Trojans and ransomware. You will get personal assistance in the event of problems. Using the services requires an OP user ID.
For whom is OP Platinum suitable?
The OP Platinum card is suitable for you if you are at least 23 years old, use OP as your main bank, and you have regular and sufficient earned or pension income or assets in investments or bank savings. In addition, your personal finances need to be in order, you have sufficient financial standing, and you live permanently in Finland.
Payments
- Pay with the debit or credit feature.
- You can use contactless payment for all card purchases with the debit feature of your card. Purchases of over 50 euros have to be confirmed by entering your PIN in the card reader, but you do not need to insert your card in the reader. When paying with the credit feature, you always need to insert the card in the reader.
- Credit limit 2,000–20,000 euros.
- When paying by credit, the interest-free billing period is 35 days on average.
- Reduce your number of cards. Add a K-Plussa card to your OP's Visa card.
- Add your card to Apple Pay, Google Pay™️, Samsung Pay or Garmin Pay to pay easily with a smart device wherever you are.
Additional security for payment
- An OP cooperative bank owner-customer’s card will include Product Protection Insurance that protects the products you paid for with the card against breakage or theft for 365 days up to 2,000 euros.
- Credit card company cover for credit purchases helps if problems occur. You can apply for a refund from your credit card company if a retailer breaches a sales contract for a purchase made with credit.

The OP Platinum customer service at 0100 0510 will help you 24/7 with any questions related to your card. The same number will help you with matters related to insurance services, Data and Identity Theft Protection and lounge services.

Price
An OP Platinum package costs 50.00 euros per month, including the card’s monthly charge of 2.95 euros and the supplementary services linked to the card, and the selected billing method (incl. paper bill charge).
Additional services and features of the card
Travel insurance from 1 May 2023
- As of 1 May 2023, travel insurance covers the entire family (cardholder along with common-law spouse or spouse and children and grandchildren under the age of 25, when travelling together) in Finland and abroad. OP Platinum cardholders and spouses travelling with them are insured until the end of the calendar month when the person turns 86 years of age.
- Luggage insurance covers up to 5,000 euros rfor each insured person and up to 10,000 euros for all insured persons in total for luggage losses.
- Cancellation Cover reimburses up to 10,000 euros per insured person if the trip has to be cancelled due to a serious obstacle listed in the terms and conditions.
- The insurance covers accidents in high-risk sports.
- We will automatically send you the physical travel insurance card included in your travel insurance. If you lose the travel insurance card, you can order a new one from the OP Platinum Customer Service under OP Platinum card customer service. OP Platinum's travel insurance card is currently not available on OP-mobile.
Rental car insurance as of 1 May 2023
- Rental car insurance covers the rental car’s deductible to up to 5,000 euros in the event of loss or damage.
- For example, if your car is scraped by another car in the parking lot, someone collides with your rental car or a stone breaks your windscreen rental car insurance reimburses up to 5,000 euros for expenses which the car rental company charges you.
- In addition to the cardholder, the insurance is valid when the car is being driven by the cardholder’s spouse, common-law spouse or child aged under 25, if the cardholder has been designated as the primary driver.
- Rental car insurance covers passenger cars, estate cars, and vans which can transport a maximum of nine people, be driven on public roads, and have a retail selling price of under 100,000 euros. The insurance is valid for a maximum of 30 days. Rental car insurance does not cover the deductible of a replacement car or leased car.
- The cardholder must be at least 21 and under 80 years old and have a valid driving licence for the rental vehicle.
- As an owner-customer, the insurance is valid automatically when paying with using either the credit or debit function.
- You won’t need to buy separate insurance for new items, such as phones.
- The deductible is only 75 euros, which is less than with a traditional home insurance.
Which purchases are covered by Product Protection Insurance?
Accidents happen to all of us from time to time, from dropping a phone on the floor to spilling coffee on a laptop or breaking your brand-new glasses.
Product Protection Insurance covers purchases made with Platinum against breakage. In other words, you won’t need to buy separate insurance for new items, such as phones.
When is the insurance valid?
The insurance covers credit and debit purchases made with OP Platinum, meaning your purchases are always insured if you pay for them with OP Platinum.
The insurance provides cover for the purchases for 365 days or one year from the cardholder receiving the product.
Product Protection Insurance covers the purchases whether you pay for them online, at a brick-and-mortar location or through a service like Apple Pay.
Does the insurance have a deductible or maximum compensation amount?
In the event of loss, the insurance has a deductible of 75 euros. The maximum compensation per item is 2,000 euros.
What to do if something happens?
If something happens, filing a loss report is simple on OP-mobile or at op.fi.

- Your OP Platinum card comes with Priority Pass membership, which entitles you and three of your travel companions to visit the lounge in hundreds of airports for free. The Priority Pass membership grants you access to over 1,400 lounges worldwide. You also get access to two Aspire lounges and the Plaza Premium Lounge of the non-Schengen area in the Helsinki Airport Arrivals Hall.
- You will have free access to lounges with your OP Platinum card or the QR code of the digital membership card of the Priority Pass app. The physical Priority Pass card will be discontinued on 30 November 2023.
- Don’t forget to mention at the lounge reception that your OP Platinum card includes a Priority Pass membership. This will ensure free access for you and three travelling companions.
- You can find the Helsinki Airport lounges near the following gates:
- Aspire Lounge, Schengen area 13 and 27
- Plaza Premium Lounge, Non-Schengen area 40
- First, you must activate your Priority Pass membership. You can do it easily at prioritypass.com/op by following the instructions below.
- When you activate, you will need your OP Platinum card and OP’s Mobile key or key code list. Registration is done in English.
- During activation, you will involve a preauthorisation of 1 euro, which will not be debited. Therefore, make sure that online and in-app payments are enabled for your OP Platinum card. The details of the discontinued physical Priority Pass card will not be needed.
What do I need to do if I have already registered in the application with a physical Priority Pass card?
If you have already registered in the Priority Pass application before 1 November 2023 using a physical Priority Pass card, you need to create a new account to receive a digital Priority Pass card.
- Start creating a new account by logging out of the Priority Pass application.
- Create a new account and register by following the guide for registering in the Priority Pass application.
- You can use the same email you used with your old account to create a new account. Your username must be new.
- You can activate via the web page from your computer, tablet or phone browser.
- Select “Submit”.
- Add the credit number of your OP Platinum card to the “Payment Card Number” field, create a user account and fill in the requested personal information.
- This will involve a preauthorisation of 1 euro, which will not be debited.
- After activation, you will find a QR code on the website, with which you can access the lounge.
- Download the Priority Pass mobile app from the app store on your phone. Select ”Activate your account” on the Priority Pass app.
- Add the credit number of your OP Platinum card to the “Payment Card Number” field, create a user account and fill in the requested personal information.
- This will involve a preauthorisation of 1 euro, which will not be debited.
- After activation, you will find a QR code on the application, with which you can access the lounge.
- At the lounge, don’t forget to say that you have an OP Platinum card that includes a Priority Pass membership.
- You will need a boarding pass for the visit.
- The receptionist at the lounge will register your visit on your OP Platinum card as you arrive
- You can bring up to three guests with you at no extra charge.
- Please note: If there are more persons visiting the lounge in addition to you and three travel companions, you will be charged EUR 30 per person from the credit side of your card.
- In this case, you will confirm the charge at the lounge terminal. If you have not previously registered as a Priority Pass member, you must confirm the payment as with online purchases with the Mobile key or key code list.
- As of 1 November 2023, you can also use the Priority Pass app.
- The app includes the digital Priority Pass membership card as a QR code. You can access the lounges by showing the QR code.
- If you want to use the QR code, activate your Priority Pass membership by registering in the Priority Pass app or website before departing. Registration is done in English.

Data and Identity Theft Protection
For OP Platinum customers, Data and Identity Theft Protection includes F-Secure's awarded Total service and the related applications.
The service expanded with a VPN connection, i.e. privacy protection, on 1 December 2023. If you are already using Data and Identity Theft Protection, the VPN will be visible in the F-Secure application in your smartphone tablet or computer, allowing you to enable the new feature.
- In addition to protection against viruses, Internet Security protects you against ransomware, spyware, infected email attachments and other malware. Top-rated for protection and performance, the app ensures that your devices stay clean and fast – whether you are using a PC, Mac, Android or iOS device.
- Banking protection secures your connection and checks every website that you enter, so you can enjoy safe online shopping and banking. It automatically blocks unsafe apps and websites to prevent anyone hijacking your online banking sessions.
- Browse the Internet without fear of opening malicious websites. The service blocks access to websites that are known to spread malware or attempt to steal your data. Colour-coded search results help you avoid suspicious websites.
- ID Protection protects your passwords and identity online.
- Start tracking your personal data by entering your email address. You can also add your personal identity code, credit card number, phone number and many other personal data to be tracked.
- Tracking begins when you add the first email address in the mobile app. With the combination of dark web monitoring and work by security analysts, you are the first to know if your personal data has been leaked online.
- You are immediately notified and receive expert assistance if your personal data is involved in a data breach. You can respond to threats quickly and prevent the data breach from resulting in identity theft.
- Take control of your passwords and store them securely. Create strong passwords and enter them automatically in your favourite services. Make payments online with enhanced security.
- Identity theft support helps you minimise damage and provides advice on how to prevent different types of online crime.

The purpose of identity theft support is to offer advice to users on how to act when they fall victim to information leak, phishing, malware or hacking.
As part of the service; F-Secure also offers guidance concerning certain events comparable with information leak in which, the user's wallet or passport, for example, has been stolen, as well as data security guidance.
F-Secure or OP is not responsible for the correctness or comprehensiveness of the advice. The service is an advisory service and F-Secure or OP will not submit reports to authorities or send any other notifications on behalf of the user. Nor will they compensate for any financial losses.
- If you have OP's user ID: you will receive the F-Secure subscription code in a separate message at op.fi service and OP-mobile by the end of April 2023.
- If you do not have OP’s user ID: to use the service, you need OP's user IDs so we can send you the subscription code for registration. To receive an OP user ID, contact your nearest OP cooperative bank.
What should I do after I get the subscription code?
- After you receive the code in a message on the op.fi service and OP-mobile, go to F-Secure website.
- If you already have an F-Secure product, log in to the My F-Secure service. Select the Subscription tab and enter the subscription code you received from OP in the section Manage your subscriptions. This ends your old subscription and upgrades it to Data and Identity Theft Protection. You can then install the app on your devices.
What should I do if I have problems with registration in the F-Secure service or with changing my current subscription to the one included in OP Platinum card?
- You can find support for problematic situations and contact the F-Secure Customer Service on their Support website.
What are the selected benefits?
- The new selected benefits are related to travel, food and drink, shopping, wellbeing, and culture and sport. The benefits change regularly every two months on average. A single benefits period involves 5–6 different benefits.
For whom are the selected benefits intended?
- The selected benefits are offered exclusively to OP Platinum cardholders. You can use some of the benefits with a family member or friend.
Where can I find the selected benefits?
- You can find and redeem your benefits on the op.fi service. Log in to the op.fi service, select My cards, OP Platinum and the Benefits tab.
- Later, the selected benefits will also be available on OP-mobile.
Event ticket insurance reimburses the costs of theatre, concert or event tickets to up to 3,000 euros if you are unable to attend due to illness or another serious reason. For example, if you’ve bought tickets to a football match or a concert, and you fall ill and are unable to attend the event, Event ticket insurance will cover the tickets if you have a doctor’s certificate before the event starts.
You can apply for compensation under Event ticket insurance if you are unable to use the event tickets for any of the following reasons:
- You fall ill or are seriously injured, and have a doctor’s certificate for the illness or injury.
- Your vehicle is stolen or you are involved in an accident with the vehicle within 48 hours before the event.
- Your home is broken into or suffers from flood or fire damage which requires you to stay home.
- You move more than 100 km away from the event site due to a new workplace.
- In the event of your death or the death of a family member.
- Event ticket insurance also covers tickets for events taking place abroad.
The event ticket insurance is provided by Inter Partner Assistance SA/AXA.
Emergency cash advance
- If your OP Platinum is damaged or get lost, you have the opportunity to get emergency cash advance to secure your journey. Through the Visa Global Customer Assistance service, in case of an emergency, money can for example be delivered to a nearby bank or currency exchange within the available balance.
- In such a case, call the OP Platinum customer service, tel. 0100 0510. The service is available 24/7.
International SOS Assistance Services
- Visa's International SOS Assistance Services, available 24/7 (phone +44 208 762 8146), offer medical and healthcare services, legal and interpreter assistance.
Under the Consumer Protection Act, you can apply for a refund from your credit card company if a retailer breaches a sales contract for a purchase made with credit. Breach of contract occurs if a product or service you bought with credit is defective or lost in transport, or the company goes bankrupt and you never receive the product.
You can also apply for a refund if your airline or tour operator goes bankrupt or cancels your journey without paying you back.
Start by trying to handle the matter with the company that sold the product or service — this will help you to demonstrate breach of contract. File a complaint with the credit card company as soon as it becomes clear that the seller is in breach of contract.

Information about the card
- An OP Platinum package costs 50.00 euros per month, including the card’s monthly charge of 2.95 euros and the supplementary services linked to the card, and the selected billing method (incl. paper bill charge).
- The interest rate is the 3-month Euribor + 8.95 percentage points if the credit has debt with interest.
- The monthly account service charge is 3.50 euros if the credit has debt with interest.
The effective interest rate calculated for used credit of 2,000 euros is 19.04 % (10/2024). The calculation does not take into account the owner-customer's or other discounts. This calculation is based on the assumption that the card’s monthly charge is 2.95 euros and the monthly account service charge 3.50 euros, that the credit interest rate, free of charge e-invoicing is in use, fees and charges remain constant throughout the credit period, and the credit is repaid in 12 identical monthly instalments. The estimated total amount payable is 2,186.80 euros.

- After you have opened Money Box and enabled Auto Save through card, your savings will add up every time you pay with your card’s debit function.
Visa Secure (previously Verified by Visa) is a service that enhances online payment security. Both the merchant and buyer are reliably authenticated on the service. To see whether a webshop uses this service, look for the Visa Secure logo.
You can link your card to Apple Pay, Google Pay, Samsung Pay or Garmin Pay. These payment apps let you make payments in stores, online and in apps with just your smartphone. You don’t need your card or card details at the time of payment.
With Apple Pay, Google Pay, Garmin Pay and Samsung Pay, you can always use contactless payment without a PIN, even for purchases over 50 euros.
You can enable Apple Pay, Google Pay, Samsung Pay or Garmin Pay if you have personal customer’s OP's credentials. Note that you need to be at least 13 years old to use Apple Pay and at least 16 years old to use Google Pay, Samsung Pay or Garmin Pay.
Adjust your payment card's spending/withdrawal limits, credit limit and repayment schedule easily at op.fi or on OP-mobile. Remember to use the benefits offered by your card!
