Why is it worth shopping around and comparing travel insurance?
It’s worth shopping around for travel insurance every now and then so that you can ensure that your travel insurance is up-to-date and that it suits your needs. Even though insurance coverage does not change constantly, several years old insurance policies may be more limited than newer ones.
When shopping around for travel insurance, it’s worth paying attention to the types of cover maximum compensation amount and deductible included in the insurance, and not compare only prices. It is important to check what the travel insurance will cover, because treatment expenses can be very high if you fall ill or have an accident abroad. A cheap travel insurance may not be the best travel insurance.
The travel insurance and the types of cover included in it can be tailored to your needs, and comparing prices is easy with our travel insurance calculator. Shopping around for travel insurance is free and does not obligate you to buy the insurance policy in question.
Continuous or fixed-term travel insurance?
The best travel insurance is the kind that meets your needs exactly. You can choose a continuous or a fixed-term travel insurance. Comparing travel insurance policies is easy and takes no time at all.
Please note that often travel insurance which is continuously valid is the cheaper alternative if you travel several times a year. Continuous travel insurance is also worthwhile if you travel in Finland. By adding travel in Finland to your travel insurance policy, trips to visit grandparents and skiing trips to the north are also covered. Continuous travel insurance is always valid until you turn 100, and it can be customised to suit your needs.
If you only travel occasionally, such as once a year, a fixed-term travel policy taken for each trip is a good and inexpensive option.
Keep in mind that the cheapest travel insurance policy may not be the best one. The best policy for you also depends on your needs, the scope of the insurance and any other benefits and discounts.
