Also OP’s customers have received phishing emails, which indicate that the receiver has made a payment or that ”tiliä rahoitetaan” (“the account is financed”). The messages concern binary options and we recommend that you do not follow the message instructions. The approach of the messages is suspicious.
The link in the binary option email opens a website that presents, among other things, the binary option’s Finnish version named “Suomalainen metodi” (the Finnish method”). The messages are similar to, for example, emails phishing for online service user identifiers.
The view on binary options varies – some see them as investing and some as betting. In practise, using binary options means that an investor predicts the price fluctuations of a certain asset during a certain time period and is promised different amounts of money in return.
If you have received emails like the ones shown below, we recommend that you delete them. You do not need to forward the messages to the bank for inspection.
