“According to national results, the most important themes for our owner-customers were supporting the hobby activities of children and youths, which was also one of the most important themes last year. On the other hand, improving digital skills among seniors and financial skills among children and youths were the second and third most popular corporate responsibility actions and clearly more important for respondents compared to a year ago. We are delighted with the number of responses and thank our owner-customers for being so active,” says Karoliina Pentti, head in charge of owner-customer membership.
We make use of the survey in daily corporate responsibility work
The OP cooperative banks will utilise the responses when planning how they can support the wellbeing of people and the environment in their region next year. Our owner-customers were asked to choose the sustainability action category they found most important from these options:
- We mitigate climate change with local action
- We help young people get summer jobs paid for by OP
- We guide the elderly in the safe use of digital services
- We teach children and young people how to use money smartly
- Our deeds benefit local nature
- We support leisure activities for children and young people
In addition, our owner-customers have been able to suggest new corporate responsibility actions as open feedback. We are also making use of the survey as part of listening to our stakeholders to develop corporate responsibility work and recognising essential themes.
