Scammers are currently sending SMSes in the name of OP's switchboard. The scammers falsify the SMS sender data to make it look like the message is coming from OP, such as from the number +358 10 252 010. However, the message is a scam.
The fake SMS asks the recipient to call the provided phone number for additional information. We do not use phone numbers starting with 046.
If you call the number provided in the message, you will be advised to transfer your funds to a "secure account". The bank does not use such secure accounts or ask customers to transfer their funds to them for safekeeping. If you transfer the funds to the account indicated in the phone call, the scammer will receive them.

How to identify scam messages
- The bank or authorities never ask you to provide your banking user ID, make payments or install an app on a device via a link sent by the caller.
- We will never send you messages with a link to the op.fi service's login page. We will also never ask you for your user ID or card details in messages.
- Pay attention to the name of the sender of the SMS message. Scammers can't send SMSes with the sender listed as "OP". Instead, they use similar names such as "O.P." or "OP TURVA RY". Beware of senders like these and do not click on any links or call any numbers in the messages.
