Problems with payment cards or credit cards? See what you can do in common problem situations.

 

If your card doesn’t work, the reason is usually the card’s spending/withdrawal limit, the available credit facility, reaching the card’s expiry date or the card becoming locked. If your card doesn’t work, you can usually solve the problem yourself.

  • You can change the daily spending and withdrawal limits of your OP-Visa cards at op.fi 
  • Alternatively, you can change them on OP-mobile, or by calling OP telephone service at +358 10 253 1333. For OP-Mastercard, however, the spending and withdrawal limits can only be changed on op.fi, at a bank branch or by calling the telephone service.
  • Please note that the account too may have a spending limit that restricts not only cash withdrawals and account transfers but also card payments. You can change the spending or withdrawal limits on op.fi or by visiting a branch.

Forgotten PIN code

  • You can reorder your PIN by logging into op.fi
    Login, choose the card for which you need the PIN and make the order.

The card’s PIN code doesn’t work

  • If the card’s PIN code was locked at a payment terminal, unlock the locked PIN code by logging in with your card at an Otto ATM. Find your nearest Otto ATM
  • If the card’s PIN code was locked at a petrol pump, unlock the locked PIN code by logging in with your card at an Otto ATM. Find your nearest Otto ATM
  • If the card’s PIN code was locked at an Otto ATM, unlock the PIN code by contacting our customer service. Identify yourself electronically during the call.

It takes at least one working day for the payment to register to the card.

If you need to free up more balance on your card for a larger purchase, you can apply for a credit limit increase on OP-mobile or at op.fi. When the application is accepted the new limit is immediately at your disposal.

Do you need a new credit card or payment card? Please choose the card that suits you best and fill in the application. You will receive a new card within 1 to 2 weeks of the date of the application.

Payment cards without credit facility  

OP Debit is a debit card with which you can also pay abroad and online. Learn more and apply for OP Debit

OP Basic is suitable as a first debit card for children and young persons ages 7 and up. You can pay for your purchases in Finland, abroad and online. It is not possible to apply for this card online. How to apply for a card for your child
