Changing and enabling Mobile key on a new device
You can enable OP-mobile and Mobile key either with the key code list or your other device. Keep your username, password and key code list for future use. You may need them to enable Mobile key if your device is lost or breaks down or you forget your Mobile key PIN, for example.
Customers using OP Business mobile with an OP Corporate User ID can activate a Mobile key in the same way.
Enabling Mobile key with the key code list
Select this way when you enable Mobile key for the first time or if you don't have Mobile key on another device.
- Download and install OP-mobile to your phone or tablet from the app store, free of charge.
- Open the app and select Start. Read the description of the service and then continue.
- Select Continue without second device.
- Select Continue with key code list.
- Enter your username and password. If you're using your user ID for the first time, the service will ask you to replace the one-time password.
- Continue and enter the key code requested by the service. To find it on your key code list, look up the given list number.
- Check that your phone number used for further confirmation is correct.
- Give your device a name that you'll recognise easily (for example, Laura's phone).
- Select a personal Mobile key PIN code. It may contain 4–8 digits.
- You'll receive a further confirmation SMS including a code with which you can finalise the enabling of OP-mobile and Mobile key.
- You can now log into OP-mobile with your Mobile key. If you like, you can enable fingerprint or face login in the app's settings.
Enabling Mobile key with your other device
Select this way when you're starting to use a new smart device and you already have OP-mobile and Mobile key on your other device.
First, do this on your new device:
- Download and install OP-mobile on your new device.
- Open the app and select Start. Read the description of the service and then continue.
- The app will suggest enabling Mobile key with another device. Select Use second device.
- Enter your username.
- A Bluetooth connection is established between your devices for the duration of setup. If needed, allow the action required to establish the connection. The app will start to search for your other device.
Next, do this on your old device:
- Open OP-mobile but do not log in. On the start screen, select Instructions and settings.
- Next, select OP-mobile to a new device.
- Start and enter your username. If needed, allow establishing the Bluetooth connection.
- Wait for your new and old device to discover each other. If the devices can't discover each other, check that the Bluetooth connection is working on both devices. If the error persists, start again with both devices.
- With your old device, read the QR code shown on your new device. Confirm the action on your old device with your Mobile key PIN. You can now close OP-mobile on your old device.
Go to your new device and continue:
- Check that your phone number used for further confirmation is correct.
- Give your new device a name that you'll recognise easily (for example, Laura's phone).
- Select a new personal Mobile key PIN code.
