Do not disclose your personal online user identifiers to anyone!

Fraudsters are attempting to acquire online user identifiers over the phone by impersonating, for example, a police officer or bank employee. The caller may, for example, say that the bank is testing identifiers, that your money is in danger or that the police are investigating fraud related to bank cards. Such phone calls may come from an unknown phone number. You can recognise a call coming from OP Telephone Service from number 010 252 0500. Never give any information to fraudsters!

If you have already revealed your online user identifiers or credit card details to a fraudster, deactivate them immediately by calling 010 253 133 (weekdays from 9.00 am to 4.00 pm, local network charge/mobile charge). Outside the telephone service hours, deactivate your user identifiers by calling the deactivation service, tel. +358 20 333 (24/7). Also report the incident to OP telephone service when it is open again.

Do the following if a police officer contacts you and you are not sure whether he/she is a real one or an impersonator:

  • Ask his/her name and the police station where he/she works. Call him/her back through the police telephone exchange.
  • The telephone exchanges of the police departments can be found at www.poliisi.fi.
  • If a person who introduces himself/herself as a police officer comes to your door, ask him/her to show his/her badge.
  • In acute cases, you can also call the emergency response centre. If a patrol shows up at your door and you do not believe they are police officers, call the emergency response centre.

Online user identifiers or any of their components may not be

  • Given orally over the telephone to anyone asking for them (in the telephone service, tel. 010 253 1333, customers type their user identifiers)
  • Typed into a mobile handset in response to an SMS request unless it is the question of OP eServices or another service or application approved by OP
  • Given in response to a request by email, and no one may log in to OP eServices via a link sent by email.
  • Disclosed to outsiders, not even to a family member. Online user identifiers are personal.
