Since 2013, customers have been able to use Pivo for transferring money with a phone number, splitting expenses and making payments in online stores. Students have also been able to use Pivo's digital student card. However, it has been challenging to successfully run a mobile wallet by one service provider for one country amidst intensifying global competition.
In future, we will focus on developing OP-mobile and its mobile payment features. We want to continue providing our customers with the best possible payment services by forming partnerships and developing our own services. At present, the mobile payment services we provide include Apple Pay, Google Pay, Garmin Pay, Samsung Pay and Siirto.
What does this mean for our customers?
You can log into Pivo and view your data until 3 September 2024. The application will be closed down on 4 September 2024.
Make payments and approve any payment requests you have received and open expenses in groups no later than 3 September 2024. We also recommend that you take note of the details of any open payment requests and expenses in groups to avoid losing the information.
If you have Pivo student card, you should switch to some other student card provided by your student organisation as of 4 September 2024. For available options, please contact your student organisation.
