The Good Deeds Across Times survey enables OP cooperative bank owner-customers to have a say in their local OP cooperative bank's corporate responsibility work. The survey was conducted on OP Media between 9 September and 6 October 2024. The banks will make use of the survey results locally. Annually, the number of survey responses has been over 40,000 but, in 2024, it was much higher.
The survey suggests that, for OP cooperative bank owner-customers, the key corporate responsibility themes are supporting hobbies for children and young people, guiding older people in the safe use of digital services and teaching financial literacy to children and young people.
"Supporting hobbies for children and young people is now owner-customers’ top theme for the second year in a row. Other themes considered relevant are supporting older people in the safe use of digital services and teaching smart money management to children and young people”, says Satu Kuoppamäki, Head of ESG at Retail Banking, OP Financial Group.
The Good Deeds Across Time survey is part of OP cooperative banks' sustainability programme. Based on the responses, banks around Finland will carry out actions to promote the wellbeing of people and the environment in their regions.
"We want to hear owner-customers' opinions on what local corporate responsibility actions their bank should prioritise. In choosing their partners, OP cooperative banks refer to our sustainability programme and the results of the Good Deeds Across Time survey," Kuoppamäki continues.
