The Employee insurance card is a free-of-charge digital service for Pohjola Insurance’s corporate customers who also hold a personal insurance policy and have signed a Digital Agreement for Companies.
The card makes it easier to use services related to the employees’ health and is a sign of the employer caring for the wellbeing and health of employees by taking out voluntary insurance covers in addition to statutory insurance policies.
With the insurance card, employees can easily access the latest insurance information and instructions using their phones. It is a good idea to start using the employee insurance card to ensure that it is ready in the event of illness or an accident.
The features of the employee insurance card are being continuously developed. You can access the new features in the Edit section. The links shared with employees will be automatically updated, so you no longer have to share them again.
For example, you can add your occupational health care contact details and more comprehensive instructions in the event of accidents to the card. If you have been using a Digital insurance card, it will be automatically updated to the current Employee insurance card.

How to get the Employee insurance card
Instructions for employers
1. Open the service: Log in to the op.fi website and select “Insurance” on the navigation bar in the top corner. In the view that opens, select “Employee’s insurance card”.
2. Add a new card: Select “add a new card”. On the first card, select “Enable insurance card”. You can name the card according to a human resources group, for example. You can also add instructions, such as the instructions for reporting sickness-related absences.
3. Select occupational health care: Select the occupational healthcare actor on the completed list or add a new by selecting “Other”. You can add an occupational healthcare website or contact details as a link to the card.
4. Select insurance policies: Select the insurance policies to be shown on the card per category.
5. Preview and create the card: You can preview the card and see what it looks like. Select “Create card” and the card will be ready for sharing.
6. Share the card: Copy the card’s link and share it to the employees via email, SMS or intranet. See the end of this page for a message template you can use when sharing the link to the card with your employees.
The employer creates and updates the card by logging in to the op.fi website. Creating the card requires the authorisation to manage personal insurance policies in OP’s digital services.
Instructions for employees
1. Open the link: Click on the insurance card link you have received from your employer. You can save the link in your phone’s bookmarks or on your home screen to make it easily accessible.
2. Operating instructions: You can find the instructions provided by your employer on the “Operating instructions” tab. They include operating instructions in the event of accidents and information on the ways you can contact occupational health care.
3. Insurance: On the “Your insurance” tab, you can see the information of the policies selected for the card and additional information about your policies.
The insurance card is a set of web pages that opens up on your phone’s web browser. Show the insurance information on the card for billing when visiting the doctor.
